Congratulations Michael Moore-Bush Falls Off His Bike
Congratulations to filmmaker Michael Moore for winning top honors at the Cannes film festival for his docu-torial Farenheit 911, a scathing indictment of the state of security in America that may have missed the opportunity to predict and prevent the attacks on September 11th, 2001.
It is scathing of Bush, portraying him as out of his depth and keen to further his family’s links to Saudi families made rich from oil - including with the relatives of Osama bin Laden, blamed for the September 11 attacks.Contemplating the signifigance of this slam from the international film community, arguably more influential than any political body on Earth, George W. Bush fell off his bike while enjoying some recreational activity on Saturday. Bush's rival in this year's presidential election, Democratic candidate John Kerry, who fell off a bicycle and grazed his hand earlier this month, wished the president well after learning of Saturday's spill. "I hope he's OK," said the 60-year-old Massachusetts senator, who took a bike ride in Boston on Saturday but managed to stay upright.Michael Moore, according to news coverage of the Cannes awards, is planning on having Farenheit 911 screened before the November U.S. presidential elections despite the fact that Disney recently abandoned their distribution arrangements for Farenheit 911 |
Mainer, New Yawka, Beijinger, Californian, points between. News, views and ballyhoos that piqued my interest and caused me to sigh, cry, chuckle, groan or throw something.
